Taxiway "A" will be extended approximately 800 feet and connect to the end of Runway 23. 

The extension will enhance airport safety and operations by eliminating the need for aircraft leaving from the east side of the airport to cross the active runway to take off. Departing aircraft can obtain higher altitudes before flying over residential neighbors.

In addition, a Hold Apron will be constructed as a run-up area for piston aircraft.
