Invitation to Bid
The Naples Airport Authority (NAA) invites the submission of Bids from all interested and qualified parties with demonstrated expertise for the 2020 Tree Removal Project at Naples Airport. The Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained here:
Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Packet no later than 10:00 A.M. EDT on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at which time bids will be publically opened and read aloud in the Naples Airport General Aviation Terminal, 2nd Floor Larson Conference Room, 160 Aviation Drive N, Naples, Florida 34104.
The Project generally consists of cutting down and removing 235 pine trees to within 4 inches of the ground. Owner is requesting two methods of handling tree debris after cutting. Alternative 1 – Contractor will remove all debris from the site. Alternative 2 – Contractor will mulch all trees and spread evenly on-site.
Contract requires work to be complete by September 30, 2020. All bids over $40,000 must be accompanied by a Bid security in the form of a bid bond or cash payment equal to 5% of the total bid made payable to the City of Naples Airport Authority. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds may be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days.
All questions concerning the project must be emailed in Microsoft Word format to Kerry Keith at firstname.lastname@example.org before 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 27, 2020. Answers will be posted on the NAA website (see above) by 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2020. NO telephone calls, please.
All Bidders must be licensed in accordance with Florida Laws. The Authority recognizes fair and open competition as a basic tenet of public procurement. Respondents doing business with the Authority are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, handicap, age or sex. The NAA has a progressive Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Enterprises Program in place and encourages Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women- Owned Business Enterprises to participate in its RFP process.
The City of Naples Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner’s best interests.
