Request for Proposals – 2019 Exotic Vegetation Removal
The City of Naples Airport Authority (NAA) invites the submission of Bid Proposals from all interested and qualified parties with demonstrated landscaping expertise for the 2019 Exotic Vegetation Removal Project at Naples Airport.
Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Packet no later than 2:00 P.M. EDT on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Naples Airport General Aviation Terminal, 2nd Floor Larson Conference Room, 160 Aviation Drive N, Naples, Florida 34104.
This project will include specialized removal of exotic vegetation within wetlands and uplands in accordance with a conservation easement and vegetation removal from outfall ditches.
Contract time will be sixty (60) consecutive calendar days from the receipt of Notice-to-Proceed. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security in the form of a bid bond or cash payment equal to 5% of the total bid, made payable to the City of Naples Airport Authority. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required if Bid exceeds $40,000. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days.
It is strongly recommended that interested Bidders attend a Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour on Tuesday, March 26 at 10:30 A.M. in the Larson Conference Room, address stated above. All questions concerning the project must be emailed in Microsoft Word format to Kerry Keith at firstname.lastname@example.org before 5:00 P.M., Friday, April 5, 2019. Answers will be posted on the NAA website (see above) by 5:00 P.M. Monday April 8, 2019. NO telephone calls, please.
All Bidders must be licensed in accordance with Florida Laws. The Authority recognizes fair and open competition as a basic tenet of public procurement. Respondents doing business with the Authority are prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, handicap, age or sex. The NAA has a progressive Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Enterprises Program in place and encourages Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women- Owned Business Enterprises to participate in its RFP process.
The City of Naples Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner’s best interests.
